Three pink buildings on a cliff above Agios Gordios. Family-run since 1965. Not quite a hotel, not exactly a hostel.

Some mornings start with yoga on the terrace. Some with a swim. Some with neither. Then a kayak out to a chapel nobody told you about, lunch at the beach, a drink as the sun drops. Greek food at a long table with strangers who won't be strangers tomorrow. The Beach Bar after. The Palladium nightclub when the night earns it.

Parea — παρέα — a group of friends sharing life together.

Some come for a weekend and stay a fortnight. Some come once and come back every summer for a decade. Some met in the bar in 2003 and sent their wedding photos a few years later.
